Founding price holds for early users

$7/mo (or $70/yr) is the launch price for Pro. It goes up as the product grows. Lock it in now and you keep it — even after the price rises for everyone else. Same idea on the Lifetime tier, just made permanent: $149 once for the first 100, then that tier closes.

I work on multiple things at a time as a founder — coding, marketing, design, content, meetings, sometimes across a few different potential products. The more AI matures, the stronger that habit gets, and I’ll probably always work this way.

The problem was that I’d lose track. I couldn’t tell where the hours were actually going. I tried pomodoros — too rigid, not intelligent enough, and they don’t ask whether the time you spent was any good. So I built what I wanted: a block-based system that’s flexible, lets you reflect on each session in one tap, and shows you exactly where the hours went and how well you used them.

$7 is what I’d pay for it. Most weeks, one good decision about where next week’s hours should go pays for the whole year. If you’re not juggling much, Free covers you — it’s there for one Track forever. And if you want in for good, there’s a Founding Lifetime — capped at 100 because that’s the cohort I want to build around.

Questions

Pricing, answered.

Is the Founding Lifetime counter real?
Yes. It's wired to actual Polar sales data and updates as people buy. When it hits 100, the option disappears. No artificial scarcity, no theatrics.
What happens after the 100 Founding Lifetime slots sell?
That tier closes for good. We may open a standard lifetime later at $249, but the $149 founding rate ends at 100 — and we don't bring it back.
Lifetime feels too cheap — what's the catch?
No catch. It's launch fuel. The first 100 customers help fund development and become the cohort the product is shaped around. We're trading short-term cash for long-term momentum.
What if Focuslapse shuts down?
Then a lifetime subscription becomes worth nothing — that's the honest risk of any one-time-payment software purchase. Pro at $7/mo carries less of that risk if the worry is real. Pick the tier that matches your conviction.
Why three tiers, not just Free and Pro?
Pro covers everyone who wants to pay monthly or annually. Lifetime is for people who'd rather lock in once. Free is for people who only need one Track. Each tier serves a different real buyer.
Can I use Focuslapse on mobile? What about a browser extension?
The web app works on phones today as a PWA — install it from your browser like any app. A native mobile app is in active development (about 25% built right now). A browser extension is queued after that. Everyone gets both as they ship — Free, Pro, and Lifetime alike.
What happens to my data if I downgrade from Pro to Free?
You keep it. Existing Tracks stay visible and exportable — you just can't create new ones past the Free limit of one.
What if I consolidate to one kind of work later — does this still work?
Yes. The focus measurement (deep / partial / drifted / skipped) works the same with one Track as with five. If you narrow down, you can either stay on Pro for the deeper focus picture or drop to Free — your data stays either way. Focuslapse doesn't take a position on how many Tracks you should have.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes, anytime. Annual is ~17% cheaper and the way most people run it.
Can I upgrade from Pro to Founding Lifetime later?
Only while the 100 slots are still available. The path is to subscribe to Founding Lifetime directly, then cancel your Pro plan from account settings — your current Pro period stays active through what you've already paid for. We don't pro-rate refunds today. If the 100 sell out before you switch, the upgrade path closes.
Is the founding Pro price really locked?
Yes. Subscribe at $7/mo or $70/yr now and that rate holds for you after launch pricing rises.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Free needs nothing. You only enter payment when you choose to go Pro or Lifetime.
What if I only ever do one kind of work?
Then Free may be all you need, and that's fine. Pro and Lifetime are for days that span multiple Tracks.

See where your hours actually go. Free.
